This practice uses practice management software for Naturopathic Practitioners and Complementary Health Care Providers in Australia.  Our policy provides details on how information is used, collected, stored from personal and sensitive information you provide us.  By using the service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  We comply to the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988.

When you engage with through this website, or book an appointment, the following personal information may be asked of you including:

  • Your name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Address

Personal information may be collected by various means including:

  • an opt-in form for our mailing distribution list

  • when you email this practice or book a consultation

  • automatically, through the use of cookies

  • respond to your enquiry

  • provide you with relevant news and updates of our services and fees

  • improve this website and service we may provide

  • your full awareness and consent, such as when you email us, tick a checkbox, or fill in a form to provide us with your information

  • through our intake form in the MyAppointments app when you secure a booking

  • through your comprehensive and medical history intake form through Cognito Forms

  • an online consultation through either the MyAppointments app or Whatsapp or face-to-face

  • when you provide us with information via an email

The information is gathered to:

  • provide you with the services you have engaged with us for

  • to ensure that we are providing you with the most appropriate services

Sensitive information we may ask of you to provide for the above purposes may include:

  • your birth date

  • your medical history 

  • your family history

  • information about your lifestyle, including your diet, relationships, occupation, marital status, physical activities, and emotional wellbeing

  • any children or pregnancies, or whether you intend to become pregnant

Sensitive information may be collected from children under the age of 16 under the following circumstances:

  • in the presence of their parents

  • with their parent or guardian's full consent

All information collected from minors is securely stored in accordance with this privacy policy.  Sensitive information is stored on a password protected computer and is only accessible to the authorised therapist responsible for your treatment.  Archived information is securely destroyed after 7 years.

Should you choose to not provide us with the relevant sensitive information or be transparent with your health and wellbeing we would be unable to provide you with the services that you requested.  Naturopathic practitioners are legally required to identify our clients by collecting their name and address, and failure in providing us with this information may result in us not being able to provide the services you requested.

Disclosure of Information

Reasons for disclosing your information may include:​

  • ​to have products delivered to you that you have purchased

Relevant information may be shared with:

  • integrative practitioners involved your treatment only once you have given consent

  • courier or postal companies for delivery of purchased products only

  • prescription and supplement dispensary suppliers

  • relevant services from functional and pathological laboratories

We may also disclose information required by law or in circumstances permitted by the Privacy Act where we have reasonable grounds to suspect unlawful activity, misconduct of a serious nature, that relates to our functions or activities has been or is being or may be engaged in, and in response to a subpoena, discovery request or a court order. Should you have any concerns regarding this disclosure of your information in this context, you are more than welcome to contact us and discuss this.

We will use all reasonable means to protect the confidentiality of your information while in our possession or control. We will not knowingly share any of your information with any third party other than service providers who assist us in providing the information and services to you.  We will only share your information with a third party should that third party agree or comply with our privacy standard or we are satisfied that the service provider has a suitably protective policy of their own. Some of service providers / partners may be located overseas and may not be subject to our Australian Privacy Laws or compliant with GDPR.  Should you have any concerns about the potential disclosure of your information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
